McDavid as she is known in the barn is a gorgeous, athletic mare with miles up to the 1.15m. She has spent the winter teaching a more novice rider the ropes up to the .90m and has handled that job brilliantly. She is a tall mare but has a normal sized stride, an excellent lead change and doesn’t mind a bit of kicking and pulling around the course. At the lower levels she doesn’t need an accurate ride and if the rider shows her where to go, she will jump from anywhere. As the jumps go up, she likes a forward-thinking ride and support from the leg. This mare would be perfect for a tall Jr/Am to bomb around the little jumper ring on.
Her sire was a fixture in Alberta in the Grand Prix’s, competing up to 1.60m and has produced, competitive, ultra careful jumpers who are ridden by amateurs and professionals.
Her dam was a winning machine up to 1.45m and now packs nervous kids around the little jumper ring.
