AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. General

1. Alberta 1852306, trading under EF Elite Sales organises in its function as an intermediary between sellers and buyers the EF Elite Sale.

2. EF Elite Sales is a hybrid auction sale. To actively bid, bidders are required to register either online anytime or in person on Saturday June 21st. To see all veterinary documentation bidders must register online. All veterinary information will be on the auction website under each horse’s page. Please follow the instructions on the website. www.efelitesales.ca

3. PPE information, including x-rays can be found on each horse’s page; it is the responsibility of the buyer to do their due diligence by reviewing the information and having their own veterinarian review the findings. Information on each horse is provided by the seller and is believed to be true and accurate. Right of recourse must be directed to the seller and not the auction or any of their employees. 

4. The buyer will board the horse, free of charge for a period of 10 days from the closing date of the auction. After July 1, 2025, if additional board is required, it will be the responsibility of the buyer to organize.

5. If the buyer requires assistance organizing transportation and/or board, the seller and EF Elite sales will assist in anyway possible to make the transition as smooth as possible. This will include assisting with cross border health papers and documents.

  1. Sale/Auction

1. Each horse will be sold to the highest bidder as determined by the auction site. The auction site reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

2. All horses are sold as is where is and are free and clear of any warrants or encumbrances. The seller/sellers as listed are the sole owner/owners of said horse.

3. All horses will be insured for a period of 10 days after the closing date at no additional expense to the buyer. Additional insurance coverage can be acquired through BFL Canada.

4. The auction is a hybrid auction, with on-line bidding opening June 18th and then a live sale June 21st.

5. The horses will be sold according to their lot numbers. The in-house auctioneer will determine when the hammer drops, and the horse is sold.

6. On-line bidding will be available via EF Elite Sales on-line platform. NOTE: there could be up to a 5 second delay with the on-line platform. Plan your bids accordingly.

7. EF Elite Sales is a reserved auction.

  1. Terms and Settlement of sale

1. Terms of sale are cash. Payment in full must be made within 48 hours of receipt of invoice. Acceptable payment options are e-transfer, wire transfer, or credit card            (3.5% administration fee will apply).

2. A 5% commission shall be charged based on the purchase price.

3. GST will be charged on horses where applicable, according to Canadian Law
